Took a lovely little stroll through Tilden Botanical garden this morning between a Tilden Park walk with Ginger and her mom and a swim at CALM (formerly SCAM). The garden isn’t at it’s best, with NO RAIN (this mornings drip doesn’t really count). However, I was reminded of several plants that I need to add to the Inverness landscape: Wild Ginger (Asarum caudatum), Powdery or any other Duddleyas, Coast Hedge Nettle (a new one for me)
and this lovely Phacelia (with the wrong tag). I think it’s P. argentea, but it’s similar to the P. californica, which is available at Buckeye Nursery in Petaluma.
Update
I found this at the nursery in Richmond in those thin tall pots and put about 6 in the bed behind the cauldron. It is a crazy unruly plant that moves around constantly. The foliage is quite attractive, like this phote but the flowers dry out quickly and look ragged quickly. However, it’s tough and never dull.
