I realize that I haven’t posted in a while. I was on the verge of quitting all things WordPress…and that means blogging, for me. However, I love wordpress and have managed to find more paid work and rekindle that enthusiasm. So, it’s time to catch up on the blog.
I’ve been slowly working on mosaics…in my Oakland basement. I really need to start thinking about phase 3 of the Inverness landscape project…the studio! So anyway, here are the latest projects. I got obsessed by the cheap glass tiles from Home Depot. These were applied to stone critters from OSH. They have made themselves at home on the retaining wall. There are some more tiles…maybe they will make their way onto the patio table near these cuties.
The next project took some time. I started with a table support from ‘The Gardener’ in Berkeley. Then I decided I could use up some of that concrete backer board that I somewhat over-purchased for thepeacock cart. I decided on a hexagonal desgn and a Ceanothus Silk Moth (Hyalophora ceanothus, according to Frank). The result has made it’s home just yesterday, in the blank spot next to the fireplace. “The colors go extremely well with the brick”, according to my master critic Jeff 😉
